Siemens Hearing Instruments

A hearing test is the first step in understanding what can be done to improve your hearing. Different tones are used to assess your ability to hear vowel sounds and consonant sounds. This information is used by hearing aid manufacturers like Siemens to design hearing instruments to suit your specific needs.
Siemens hearing instruments are used in nearly all of our practices to demonstrate how much your hearing can be improved. Siemens have a range of different models and styles. Siemens do not dispense hearing instruments themselves but use a network of trained and experienced agents to supply and fit their instruments. Just like other products, you can buy budget, mid range or top of the range hearing systems. You get what you pay for. The more sophisticated instruments can handle difficult situations better, but that doesn’t mean the cheaper products are not good.
Hearing is a sense but listening is a skill! Improving hearing involves more than just fitting hearing instruments. Hearing instruments help the ear by putting back the sounds you no longer hear correctly. Listening is something that has to be learned and practiced. Listening is done by the brain not the ear. That means the hearing impaired person needs to adapt to the new sounds that they can hear. After all if there was no change there could be no improvement. Working with the manufactures helps make the rehabilitation process easier for the end users.
